Hi guys! Sorry it's been so long but busy times.
As a few of you know, my placement year studying abroad has now started and on Friday I arrived here in Freiburg, Germany. So far, I've basically been continuously stressed out as there have been so many things to organise. My mum flew over with me but she left to go back to England yesterday, and I've been feeling pretty bummed out about the whole thing.
Luckily, there were some people to help me with some of the organisation things today at an orientation session, so I am now registered as a resident, have a German bank account and have sorted out health insurance. I also met a couple of Irish girls who are really nice and we have loads of things in common. Thank God for that! Who would have thought that the second and third people I properly spoke to in Germany would be Tumblr people and into Superwholock and anime and everything...
So basically, I wouldn't say I'm feeling optimistic about it all but perhaps it's a bit less doom and gloom.
Unfortunately though, I might be on something of a hiatus, submission-wise, for a while, as there wasn't room in my suitcase to bring any art supplies. But I'll see what I can manage

Exciting news
Well first of all, the biggest thing to happen recently is that not only did I finish and pass my German and Translation degree, but I've found out that I got a first! There were lots of times I didn't think I was going to be able to graduate at all so I am incredibly relieved.
That's actually kind of old news at this point as I've known for a few weeks. I decided that I needed at least a month without even thinking about jobs and the future, and I'm so grateful that I can afford to do that and that my mum is ok with it, because I really needed this time as a break from what is literally years of constant anxiety. I will probably apply for t
I've missed this
Just wanted to let people know that I'm coming back to DA. I've been away for ages as I've been super busy with university and having problems with depression and anxiety, but the hell that is this degree is almost over, and I'm really looking forward to getting back to painting this summer. Also considering getting a bit more into photography so there'll be some of that coming too, though I'm new at it so be patient with me :)
Auf Wiedersehen, Deutschland!
And hello, England!
As of last week, I have finished my year studying abroad in Freiburg, Germany and have returned home to England. I have to say that, despite worrying about it for literally years, I had the most amazing time and am so glad that I didn't drop out of my degree course. I probably didn't learn as much German as I should have but I met some awesome people who I know I'm going to be friends with for life. If only they didn't live so far away! But at least now there are people all over the world I can go stay with :)
I actually still have a term paper to write for one of the classes I was taking in Germany and I have to write a
ENGLAND BABY
I'm home! Semester is over so I'm back in England for about 2 months before returning to Germany for the second semester. I've been super busy while in Germany so I've barely been on DA, but hopefully I will be submitting some new things soon, so keep your eyes open :)
